Vacay

This past week I want to Corolla beach with the husband's fam. I marked the occasion by debuting my new swimsuit, the reminder of which is the halter Maillot-shaped sunburn I'm sporting.

Overhauls

My great uncle Lunny (short for Lunsford, of course) wore bib overalls everyday of his life and was buried in them. I don't think he actually called them overhauls, but it seems like an old country sort of term. I really have always loved overalls and was rather sad when I thought their death knell sounded in the 90s. Unlike this alarming Birkenstocks trend ( who knows, though, I tend to ultimately love things I start out hating) I am very glad they are making their way back. Hubs spotted this pair at the Marshalls for $50 and I totes scooped them when they went for $25. My research has lead me to the conclusion that they used to cost $172 at South Moon Under, so not a bad acquisition.

A once and a future outfit

On the far left is the outfit I wore to work last week with the back of the outfit on the far right. In the middle is what I intend to wear to our second wedding of the season-Eric's cousin Phil and his lovely future wife Stacey- but I can't find a maxi skirt in red, coral or pink with either a tulip, fishtail or tulip bottom. It really is maddening. I want something that is as dramatic as that peplum, which is the most expensive shirt I've ever owned and consequently I feel compelled to wear it as much as possible without crossing into eccentric territory.

After Sunday Morning

This is last Sunday, actually. This Sunday I wore my excellent Octopus shirt (post forthcoming!) for brunch and then mostly loafed around in a duffel sweater and some glow-in-the dark men's underpants (with a bug print, no less!) that I bought on sale at Target. This is my outfit from last weekend. Same shirt as Saturday, no less!
